Rental Terms — Plain-Language Summary
This is a friendly summary of the key terms in our Washer & Dryer Rental Agreement. The full agreement you sign is what governs your rental — you'll review it before anything is delivered.
It's a rental — not rent-to-own
You're renting the machines, not buying them. No ownership transfers to you at any time, and the machines remain the property of the rental company.
Term
The minimum rental period is 6 months. After 6 months, your rental continues month-to-month unless either of us ends it with written notice.
Payments
Monthly rent is due on the same date each month — your exact rate, due date, and any late-fee terms are spelled out in your signed agreement. A per-day late fee applies when payment is late.
Maintenance & repairs
All maintenance and repairs are free of charge. Please allow 2–3 business days for service visits.
Your responsibilities
Treat the machines like you own them while you rent. You're responsible for damage caused by misuse or neglect, and for damage the machines cause to your apartment or property.
Moving or ending your rental
Give us at least 7 days (1 week) written notice if you plan to move or stop renting. Either party may end the agreement for any reason with written notice.
Liability
SWVA is not responsible for damage the machines may cause to personal property, or for bodily injury.
